What to do if the local network connection between this device and the receiving device is abnormal?
1. The host's network connection is on the optical modem, while the mobile device connects to the router's WiFi (most common cause)
Solution: Connect the host's network to the router
2. The router has isolated the device
- Symptom: Mobile phones and computers connect to the same WiFi, but cannot access each other
- Solution:
(1) Log in to the router management page
192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 (refer to the label on the bottom of the router for the specific address)
(2) Disable the isolation feature
Under 【Wireless Settings】 or 【Security Settings】, locate “AP Isolation”/“Client Isolation” → Turn off this feature → Restart the router
3. The computer firewall is blocking the connection
- Symptom: Phone can ping the computer's IP, but cannot connect to this application
- Solution:
▸ Windows system
(1) Press Win+R → type control → open Control Panel
(2) Navigate to [System and Security → Windows Defender Firewall]
(3) Click [Allow an app through firewall]
(4) Locate the app → Check both [Private] and [Public] networks
(5) Save settings and restart the app
4. VPN/Virtual Machine Interference
- Symptom: Computer displays multiple IP addresses or an abnormal IP address
- Solution:
(1) Immediately disconnect all VPN connections
(2) Completely exit virtual machine software (e.g., VMware/VirtualBox)
(3) On your computer: Win+R → Type cmd → Run the ipconfig command to confirm your actual LAN IP starting with 192.168.x.x
5. IP confusion caused by multiple network adapters
- Symptoms: Computer connected to both Ethernet and WiFi, or presence of virtual network adapters
- Solution:
(1) Prioritize wireless network → Unplug Ethernet cable
(2) Disable redundant network adapters:
• Win+R → Enter ncpa.cpl
• Right-click and disable unused adapters (e.g., “Ethernet,” “VMware Network”)
• Keep only the network connection you intend to use
Ultimate Troubleshooting Steps
If the above solutions fail, perform the following on both devices:
(1) Restart network equipment
• Simultaneously restart your phone, computer, and router (power off for 30 seconds)
(2) Verify IP address
• Computer: Win+R → cmd → Run `ipconfig | findstr “IPv4”`
Record the displayed IP (e.g., 192.168.1.100)
• Phone: Go to Wi-Fi settings → View IP address
Ensure it's in the same subnet as the computer (e.g., 192.168.1.x)
(3) Test connectivity
• Install “PingTools” on phone → Enter computer IP to test
Special scenario notes
(1) Corporate/school networks: May enforce isolation mode → Contact network administrator
(2) Security software blocking: Temporarily exit security apps like PC Manager
(3) Outdated routers: Visit the official website to upgrade to the latest firmware
