Apple has released iOS 27.0.1, the first minor update following the launch of iOS 27. The update is available for compatible iPhone models through Settings > General > Software Update. Apple lists build 24A446 for iOS 27.0.1.
The update focuses on several bug fixes, including issues affecting the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
According to Apple's release information, iOS 27.0.1 addresses the following issues:
• Face ID: iPhone 18 Pro models could unexpectedly restart when Face ID failed to authenticate.
• Camera: A color artifact could appear in photos captured at 2x zoom under certain lighting conditions on a small number of iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max devices.
• Touchscreen: Opening Notification Center and Control Center simultaneously could cause the touchscreen to become unresponsive.
The Face ID issue is particularly relevant to the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, where some users had reported authentication failures followed by unexpected restarts.
Apple has also released iPadOS 27.0.1 and visionOS 27.0.1 alongside the iOS update.
iOS 27.0.1 is primarily a bug-fix release rather than a feature update. iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max users experiencing Face ID-related restarts or the reported camera issue may want to update to the latest version.
Before updating or performing any major system operation, 3uTools recommends backing up important data and checking the device and iOS version carefully.
